Furniture
Some things are hard to explain until you actually touch them. The warmth of the surface. The weight that tells you something solid is in your hands. The grain that catches the light differently depending on where you stand.
Nuki furniture is made from Grade A European birch plywood - the same material architects and designers have trusted for decades when they need something that performs as well as it looks. Birch plywood isn't a compromise or a cheaper substitute for solid wood. It's a deliberate choice: a material that's exceptionally uniform, highly resistant to warping, with outstanding bending strength - and one that looks exactly as a good piece of furniture should. Natural, quiet, honest about what it is.
The material that makes the difference
We use only full, uncut sheets - 18 mm and 24 mm for beds and desks, 15 mm for shelves and pegboard panels. These thicknesses aren't arbitrary. Each has been selected to give each piece of furniture precisely the structural integrity it needs. We don't use finger-jointed wood or reconstituted offcuts. Every Nuki component is cut from a single, whole sheet of birch plywood. That decision directly affects the durability, the aesthetics and the individuality of every piece we make.
Which is why no two Nuki pieces are identical. Birch trees grow differently - growth rings form their own way, knots appear where they want, grain changes direction. When we cut a component from a sheet, those patterns become a permanent part of the furniture. Two beds from the same collection, ordered on the same day, will look different. That's not a flaw - it's something you simply cannot buy from a flat-pack catalogue.
Designed and made entirely in Europe
All Nuki furniture is designed in Poland. Manufactured in Europe. We don't outsource production overseas, we don't substitute materials to cut costs, and we don't optimise at the expense of quality. That's a choice with real consequences - for every joint, every edge, every dimension. It means we can monitor quality at every stage and guarantee that what arrives at your home matches what you saw in the photos.
Nuki has been designing and making furniture since 2016. Over that time we've developed our own design language - pieces that are functional without being boring, simple without being sparse, and durable without being heavy. No exposed screw heads on the front face. No visible steel connectors. Considered construction where aesthetics and engineering work together.
What's in the collection
The Nuki furniture collection includes beds for children and adults - from cribs and cradles, through house beds and children's cabin beds, to full-size double beds. Alongside these: desks and side tables in various sizes, wardrobes and bookcases, pegboard shelving systems, benches, chairs and children's room accessories. Every product is available in several finishes - natural oiled, white, walnut and black.
Assembly without frustration
Nuki furniture is designed to be assembled at home - but assembled thoughtfully. Instructions are clear and visual. Connections are engineered so that the process is logical from start to finish. Most pieces can be put together by one person in under an hour, without specialist tools. If anything is unclear, we're here.
